Duplicating shapes as Smart Objects

- In the next few minutes, we're going to take a look at how we can take advantage of smart objects to work with multiple instances of a shape and keep the editing of those shapes as efficient and flexible as possible. So I'll select the polygon shape tool and I'm going to set the number of sides to six. Now I'll start dragging out my shape and I'll want to hold down the shift key in order to constrain it. Then in order to rotate it while I'm still dragging it out, I can hold down the command key on Mac or the control key on Windows. And I want the point at the bottom, like that. All right, I think that's still a little too big, so we'll just make it a little smaller, maybe about that size. Now, before I do anything else, I'm going to convert this into a smart object. On the layers panel, I'll right click and just choose convert to smart object. Now there are two different ways to duplicate a smart object. One of them…
