- [Instructor] Photoshop has a powerful text engine that makes adding type to documents quick and intuitive. In this lesson, we're going to learn how to add point text and then refine it using the Options bar and the Properties panel. In order to create our headline, I'm going to select the Type tool. I can either tap the T key or we can select it from the toolbar. Photoshop has many different type tools, the horizontal and vertical type tool. Both make type layers whereas the next two tools only make selections. I'll choose the horizontal type tool and then right click on the T icon to reset the tool so that we're all starting with the same settings. Then let's set up some of the font options by using the Options bar. In order to choose a font, we can select this and then just type in the name of a font, or we can click to reveal a list of fonts. For now I'm going to leave it set to Myriad Pro and then change the font…
