Using gradients in masks to blend images

- [Instructor] Clipping masks are another way to mask the contents of one layer or even multiple layers to another. So in this example, we'll use a clipping mask to clip a photograph to a shape. Now, if I just wanted a simple shape like a rectangle or a square, I could certainly use the frame tool or even the shapes, but here I want to clip each individual photograph to each individual shape that make up the heart. We'll start with the color fill one layer. We can toggle on and off the visibility so that we can see that it's this shape over here, and I want this content of this layer right here, the waterfall photo, to only appear within that shape, With the waterfall targeted, I'll choose the layer menu, and create a clipping mask. When I create a clipping mask, Photoshop will underline the name of the layer at the bottom of the clipping mask and it will indent any of the layers above it that are…
