Applying Camera Raw as a filter
- [Instructor] As a photographer, I typically have the luxury of working with my own RAW files. But many designers aren't always as fortunate. So applying camera RAW as a Smart Filter is an ideal way to make changes to a photograph non-destructively when it's not practical to return to the original RAW file and make the changes there. In this image, I'm going to change it to a Smart Object so that I can apply the filter non-destructively by choosing Filter, and then Convert For Smart Filters. Then I'll select Filter and then Camera RAW Filter. In this image, I want to apply camera RAW as a filter to give it a bit more of a softer feel. The first thing I can do is select a profile. You'll notice that there aren't any RAW profiles available to me because I'm not working with a RAW file. So I'll use the profile browser and come down to these vintage profiles.
