- [Instructor] Photoshop has several different blur filters under the blur menu as well as the blur gallery. Now, if we just want to create a simple uniform blur on an image, then the Gaussian Blur works just fine. But for the most part, the Blur Gallery options have a lot more control and they can create selective blur effects that actually change the amount of blur over the length of the blur. All right, before applying any blur, I'll want to convert my background into a smart object, so I'll right click and choose Convert to Smart Object. Then I'll select Filter, and Blue Gallery, and we'll take a look at each one of these blurs. When I select the field blur, Photoshop automatically gives me a single pin in the middle of the image. I can reposition that pin by just dragging it, and I can use this little dial to decrease or increase the amount of blur. Let's say I don't want any blur on the left side but I want to…
