- [Instructor] Now that we know how to make strike paths, and curve paths and even change the direction of paths, let's go ahead and put it all to use. We're going to create the shape of a duck and then turn it into a shape layer. And we're going to use this template and all of these guides in order to help us. So, I'll tap the P key in order to select the pen tool. I just have the regular pen tool and I'm going to start at the top of the duck's head. I will click and drag up in order to set down my first anchor point and create a direction line that's going to go up across the duck's head. Then, we'll just click on the second point and drag using the template as a guide. I can click and drag this third point, but now when I click and drag on the fourth point, if I'm watching the cursor as it moves forward and I match this template, well we can see that the line that's been created behind the anchor point isn't quite right…
