Applying Blend Modes to multiple layers and groups

- [Instructor] There's an important difference between applying a blend mode to an individual layer versus applying blend modes to layer groups. Let's take a look at the contents of this document. Here I have some background circles and then I've got four folders with the same content in each one. If I use the disclosure triangle, we can see that each of these folders contains a ball, a large pin, and a small pin. I'm going to leave the blend modes just set to normal for the original group, and then I'm going to make a change to the Layers set to Multiply. I'll select all three of the layers in this group and then change their blend mode to multiply, and we can see that not only are the layers within the group multiplied with one another, they're also being multiplied with the background.
