- [Host] Now let's find out how to combine multiple shapes into a single layer, save that shape as a custom shape and clip a photograph to multiple custom shapes, so that only the photo is seen within the shape. First, I'm going to simplify this document. I'm going to discard all three of these groups, so I'll select them and tap the delete key. And then in group one, I'm also going to get rid of the flower shape that's shape 431. So I'll tap the delete key. I'm going to hide the rectangle layer for right now and I'll target the ellipse. I'll also select the polygon tool, because I want to add a stroke to both of these shapes. I'll click the stroke icon and then add this magenta stroke. And let's add a stroke of about 40 pixels, just to make sure that we can see it. And I'll use command plus in order to zoom in.
