- [Instructor] Photoshop has a powerful text engine that makes adding type to documents quick and intuitive. In this lesson, we're going to learn how to add point text and then refine it using the options bar. In order to create our headline type, we can select the type tool by tapping the T key or we can select it from the toolbar, Photoshop has several different type tools, the first tool will actually make type layers, the second two only make selections, so I'll choose the horizontal type tool and then I'll right click on the T icon in order to reset the tool to make sure that we're all starting with the same settings. Now, to set up the font options, we'll use the options bar, we can select a font by just selecting the name and then typing in the name of the font if we know what font we want or we can use the dropdown menu which we'll return to in just a moment.
