Opening raw images as Smart Objects

- If you're working with RAW files, instead of opening the image into Photoshop and then converting it to a smart object, you can choose to open the RAW file into Photoshop as a smart object from Camera RAW, which will then enable you to access all of the RAW data if you need to make changes to the file. I'm going to start with the Sand Dollar.dng and the Wall Texture, and I'm going to open both of these RAW files into Photoshop using Command + O on Mac or Control + O on Windows. Here in the thumbnail, we can see that these are both of the documents. I need to select them both. So I'll hold the Command key on Mac, Control key on Windows, and select both thumbnails. Then instead of clicking Open, I'm going to choose the Open as Objects. That will tell Camera RAW to hand off not a pixel based file, but the entire RAW file to Photoshop.
