Selecting and replacing skies

- [Instructor] I'm sure that everyone has found themselves in a beautiful location, but the sky just isn't as grand as the landscape in the foreground. Let's see how Photoshop can help us to not only select skies, but also replace them. If I just want to select the sky, I can use the select menu and then choose select sky and Photoshop will select the sky for me. The nice thing about this is that if I actually want the foreground selected, all I would need to do is invert that selection. Now, in this case, I actually want to replace the sky, so I'll choose select, de-select and then select the edit menu and choose sky replacement. Photoshop ships with a number of default skies which we can access by using this little disclosure triangle here.
