- [Instructor] There are several ways that you can straighten an image in Photoshop. In the next few minutes, we're going to take a look at three of the most common. So the first way is to select the Crop tool, so I'll tap the C key. And then, we can choose the Straighten tool in the options bar. Then, I can simply click and drag along the horizon. And when I release the cursor, Photoshop will automatically straighten the image for me. One thing to notice is that when you use the Straighten tool Photoshop will always redraw the Crop tool so that there isn't any transparent areas. So you might notice that some of the image area is actually being cropped when you straighten the image. Now, if you have the Crop tool selected and you want to temporarily access the Straighten tool, you can just hold down the Command key on Mac or the Control key on Windows, and then drag in order to straighten the horizon.
